High-frequent sonography has become an essential adjunct in diagnosing pathological conditions of the peripheral nervous system: with high frequent ultrasound probes, even tiny peripheral nerves can easily be found, depicted, and assessed, enabling a precise diagnosis. Therefore, traumatic nerve lesions, compression neuropathies, or nerve tumours can be identified, allowing for a fast-forward treatment.
